And welcome to East Street Hive. I'm Deanna, and I run this one-woman show. I have spent over a decade studying fibers and the art of dyeing, and hold a Bachelor's Degree in Fiber Arts. I lovingly design and craft each piece by hand, and all of our scintillating colorscapes have years of intense study behind them.
That's the business side of things here. On the personal side, I've been happily married to my gorgeous husband Joel for not quite 6 years, and we occasionally spend our anniversaries hiking through gorges and forests in Hocking Hills, Ohio. We have two very cute and very fuzzy fur babies, Oliver and Theo, who love to help me work by laying across my keyboard as I attempt to type. My idea of a perfect afternoon involves a small pile of books, our big cranberry colored couch, a steaming pot of tea, a crackling fire, sunlight slowly tracing a path across the floor, and of course, Joel.
My life inspires my work, and vice versa. You'll find hints of that cranberry colored couch, those cream colored book pages, and shimmering golden sunlight in the color palettes of our silks. I'm passionate about creating gorgeous works of art that you can drape around your neck, pieces that can't help but bring out your own inner elegance, silk scarves you'll reach for again and again when putting together your outfits.
It's wonderful to meet you.
